Supervision

We are committed to providing high-quality supervision across all stages of a psychology career, from early training through to advanced practice. We take pride in supporting the professional growth of emerging and established psychologists alike.

Supervision Designed to Support Growth and Development

At Lifespan Health, we are committed to the ongoing development of our team, particularly provisional psychologists who are building their experience. Supervision is an essential part of our approach to helping practitioners grow, develop their clinical skills and gain confidence in their practice. Through structured, supportive supervision, we aim to nurture the next generation of mental health professionals, ensuring they are equipped to provide the highest standard of care to their clients.

Areas of Supervision

Our supervisors are registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and are committed to strengthening the mental health workforce in the Sunshine Coast and Gympie regions. We provide primary and secondary supervision across a variety of programs, including 5+1 internship programs, higher degree placement supervision and clinical registrar programs. Additionally, we support professionals through re-entry programs for those returning to practice after a period of absence, as well as transitional programs for overseas-qualified applicants seeking to integrate into the Australian system. Through these programs, we aim to provide tailored, high-quality supervision that fosters the growth and development of mental health professionals.

Supervision for Provisional Psychologists

Lifespan Health provides supervision to help provisional psychologists build their clinical skills, refine their therapeutic approaches and deepen their understanding of psychological assessments. Our supervisors provide guidance, feedback and support, ensuring provisional psychologists gain the experience and confidence they need to become fully registered psychologists. We focus on fostering a supportive, collaborative environment that allows for professional growth and development.

Building a Collaborative, Supportive Work Environment

Supervision at Lifespan Health is built on a foundation of collaboration and support. We believe that a positive supervisory relationship is key to developing clinical skills and confidence. Our supervisors foster an open and respectful environment where psychologists can share their challenges, ask questions and receive constructive feedback. This collaborative approach ensures that every psychologist feels supported and valued as they continue to grow in their profession.
