First Nations artwork and Bio about designer

LifeSpan Health has commissioned Gubbi Gubbi/Kabi Kabi artist Zartisha Davis to create a bespoke artwork for our offices. Titled Maroochy/Maru Kutchi, the piece employs Shell-Midden Mark-Making techniques to reflect themes of community, unity, teamwork, support, respect and stewardship—values deeply aligned with LifeSpan’s purpose and approach to care.
Cultural Connection
This artwork draws on traditional Gubbi Gubbi/Kabi Kabi techniques to honour Country, history and cultural continuity, grounding LifeSpan Health’s spaces in a sense of respect and reconciliation.
Shared Values
Each mark symbolises qualities LifeSpan upholds—support, unity and stewardship—making the artwork not only decorative, but also a visual reminder of the organisation’s commitment to holistic and inclusive care.
